John Brackbill

Pastor

 

In July of 2018 John become the pastor of The Church of the Open Bible in Burlington, MA. Previously he pastored The Bible Church in Port Washington, NY from 2011-2018 after being an elder at Grace Baptist Church, a church plant in Queens, NY from 2008-2011. The Lord used the faithful example of John's parents serving the Lord in the local church to burden him for pastoral ministry which led him to pursue ministry training culminating in a Master of Divinity degree at Bob Jones University's Seminary and Evangelism Center. His passion is to behold and proclaim the glory of God in the face of Jesus as revealed in the Bible through the public exposition and private ministry of Scripture. He and his wife Sarah have two sons and four daughters.

 

 

 

Scott Rosen

Scott was saved at age 18, but he did not begin faithfully attending church until after graduating college. He was baptized and discipled at a church in Alexandria, VA. Eventually, the Lord brought him back to MA where he assisted a church plant in the town of Norwood while working a secular job. After ministering there for several years, Scott (along with his wife Leah) relocated to the Burlington area and joined COB in 2015. Scott presently works as a data analyst and attends seminary online. He and Leah have two young sons.  

 

Bryan Bell

Bryan Bell grew up in Africa as a missionary kid and graduated from Northland International University with a Bible and Pastoral Studies degree. Bryan serves many administrative roles at the church and also preaches on occasion. In addition to serving at the church, Bryan is the executive director of Grace Dental and Medical Missions. As a part of the mission, Bryan travels regularly around the country and the world on missions trips.

 

Rick Callahan

Rick Callahan grew up at COB. Only his mother was saved and she faithfully brought him to church. At the age of 14, Rick accepted Christ as his Savior at a church youth retreat. Rick served in the US Army after high school and returned to work at Ariston Engraving & Machine Co. in Woburn, MA. He has been there for 48 years now and oversees operations. For many years, Rick has served in the Circle B ministry, Fishers of Men, Sunday School Superintendent, trustee, OBA Day School Committee chairman, and Bible teacher. Rick's wife, Marcia, works as the church secretary. She and Rick have been married for 43 years and have four grown children and ten grandchildren.

 

Tom Lulsdorf

 

Tom Lulsdorf was born in Montreal, Canada, but moved to this area when he was very young. His parents were both saved and faithfully brought him to church. At five, Tom accepted Christ as his Savior through the ministry of Sunday School at COB. Tom graduated high school from the Open Bible Academy and continued his education at Burlington Bible Institute. Tom also has a BSEE from Northeastern University and an MSEE from Tufts University. He works as an Engineering Fellow at a large electronics company where he designs and tests Phased Array Radars.Tom has served for many years in Circle B, adult Sunday School, trustee, and Corporation Secretary and Treasurer. Tom and his wife Cindy have 3 children. He enjoys golf, boating, fishing, and geocaching with his family.

 

 

Peter Segerstrom

Peter has attended COB his entire life.  He placed his personal faith and trust in Christ as his Savior at the age of 6.  He is a graduate of UMass Amherst and Babson College which prepared him for a career leading a local community bank.  Peter has been active at COB in the roles of Moderator, Sunday School Superintendent, Corporation Secretary, Circle B leader, and other ministries.  Peter met his wife Rhoda on a blind date in 1979.  They were married in 1982 and are the parents of three sons (two of whom are married) and grandparents of two granddaughters and one grandson.
