Ladies Bible Study

Small group women’s Bible studies at The Church of the Open Bible provide a practical way for our women to keep each other accountable in a deep study of truths about God and the message of the gospel through at least one book of the Bible each year. These times also help to forge meaningful spiritual relationships with other women of all ages (Titus 2:3-5) and have helped our women grow more steadfast in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Meetings are casual and friendly, with 10–20 ladies gathering at Wegmans and splitting into smaller groups of 5-6 to discuss the text. Formal study and discussion last an hour, but many ladies linger for extended discussion and fellowship as they are able.

During these meetings, ladies practice and learn skills for sound personal Bible study, to “accurately handle the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Using what is more commonly known as the inductive Bible study method, ladies make observations of the text, interpret it given the authorial intent, and then seek to apply it to their lives and share these truths with others.

At these meetings, you’ll find women of all ages and walks of life who love the Lord and are members or regular attendees of The Church of the Open Bible, but you don’t necessarily have to attend our church to join us.
